It is a rough year to be a sports reporter for the Journal Sentinel. First, Favre tells Chris Mortenson that he's retiring. Then Andy Katz gets the scoop on Crean going to Indiana. Then Tom Haudricourt gets so paranoid that someone is going to find out that Yost is getting canned before he does (awful syntax, yikes) that he starts citing random blogs. Then ESPN.com is the first to learn that the Bucks got DickJeff (still trying it on, still liking it) for the Chairman and the Albatross.
And now Mortenson gets the scoop on Favre getting "the itch" (insert prostitute joke here) to play again.
Holy hell! That's four (four-and-a-half, if you count the Yost one) times being scooped in one year. Just when you thought the Journal Sentinel couldn't get any more pathetic...
Also, I'd like to be the first to report that Aaron Rodgers has released the following statement: "When, Lawd? When's gonna be my time?"
