Hear yee, Hear yee!

To all Marquette season ticket holders! Single game tickets go on sale this saturday (as I'm sure you are all aware after receiving the form from the MU ticket office) at ~3:00 pm for those of you with less than 50 amassed points (I suspect that's all of us). I come to ask if anyone is not going to be using their additional allotted 4 tickets to the Red Devil I mean Badger game. I have a short list of friends and family members that I am trying to get tickets for, but due to the complaints by the likes of the Cracked Sidewalks contributors, I can now only get 4. So if anyone here does not need additional tickets and would be willing to purchase them Saturday afternoon for me, I would be grateful and offer a shot of whiskey or 2 as a token of my appreciation (I would also reimburse for the tickets of course). Let me know. I appreciate your ears, brethren of the Quevedo Buffet Roundtable!

Its only 4...what a crock! I guess i didn't read the fine print as I've all ready guaranteed 6 tickets to family.

Yeah, like I said, I know the guys at Cracked Sidewalks were adament about complaining to the uppers in the ticket office about the allotment because too many of those tickets were going to Badger fans. Therefore, they didn't think that we were getting much of a home court advantage. I can't really say considering I have yet to go to one of the games at the BC, but it sounds like this was the case 2 years ago. I honestly don't think it's going to make a whole hell of a lot of difference , but I guess we'll find out in December.

there are a fair number of bucky fans in the uppers, but one way to shut them the hell up is to win! it doesn't matter if people by 8 or 4 they are still giving them to Bucky fans sometimes.

We're gonna kick their ass this year! I Can't wait! I almost wish Butch was around for a 9th year so Burke could dominate him again. Hopefully that moron Trevon talks shit about D James again. What a fool.

What SBTG forgot to add is "like me" at the end of that statement. Motherscratchin' traitor!!

The bigger issue is the five packs. Badger fans can buy those and get decent tickets to the UW game and then throw away the other tickets.

I agree with the 5-pack issue to an extent. In defense of the ticket offense, I think that it was their best option in that both 5-pack options have good games in them and offering the Badger game in one of them will alone increase sales. However, the one including the Badger game is inferior to the other option.

In all honesty though, if Badger fans want tickets bad enough, they will get them. Whether it be through the 5-pack, friends of MU season ticket holders (ie Scott and myself to be fair), or scalping, they will find a way. So in offering the 5-pack they may be able to get more neutral fans in the area to buy a 5pack and therefore come to more Marquette games throughout the season. So all in all, I think it was a good idea. I personally prefer a more packed house, and this should help the cause. And to be honest, they could fill the entire upper deck with red-clad yahoos this year and we would still lay the smack down on them. Yes, I am that confident! Prediction: Matthews, 19 pts, 6 boards, 4 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. Also, we are up big with 4 minutes to play and Buzz pulls Jeronne Maymon out of the crowd to get in some minutes.

you are right again. because I am able to get my family tickets to the Badgers game I am a traitor. sometimes we do things for family and it turns out to benefit us too (see last years Badger game in Madison). thanks to reid's good deeds over the years with the in-laws he scored tickets for us (you too D3Some).
