Most of us, if not all of us here at QatB, read Deadspin on a daily basis. I know I check it at least once every hour (usually more). There is a trend developing here with Deadspin editors. Will Leitch was the previous editor before he left to do other things. While he was at Deadspin, the Cardinals, his team of choice, won the World Series. AJ Daulerio took over editing duties this year and do you know what happened? The Phillies, the team of choice for Mr. Daulerio, wins the World Series. Is it just a coincidence? I think not. Now I realize that Leitch was doing Deadspin before the Cardinals won and he did it after and they haven't won since. But I don't think we can write off what is going on here.
Since there seems to be some kind of link between Deadspin editors and World Series champions, I think that we here at QatB should be the new editors of Deadspin if the opportunity becomes available. We are somewhat funny when we read what we wrote. We could bring a fabulous small-market approach to the big-market blogosphere. Now, I'm obviously looking for the big pay-out of a World Series championship for the Milwaukee Brewers. I don't think I'm asking for too much.
I also realize that longtime Deadspin Associate editor Rick Chandler is a Giants fan, but come on. They are the Giants. They are being looked at like the Brewers were for so long. It'll be nice when they end up with the expanding waistline of Prince Fielder as Matt Cain is winning 15+ games for us.
In conclusion... QatB as Deadspin editors = Milwaukee Brewers World Series Champions
