We Lost to the Fucking Vikings...seriously?

Boy what a pathetic performance again by our beloved Packers. First and foremost, we were lucky to even have a shot at winning that game late as our offense was horrible and defense not much better.

Wide Right-There is no excuse for missing a 52 yarder in the cozy confines of the dome especially after a perfect snap and perfect hold. Crosby just flat missed it wide right. It would have been an awesome win instead now we have to deal with both the Vikes and the Bears for the division title.

-Special Teams-Now we know why they call him Will the Thrill...not the smartest guy in the world, but when he gets the ball in his hands watch out. Oh and I think the punter experiment is just about over. He was killing us in the field position game and he doesn't have an excuse either because of the confines.

-Offense-We have a very prolific offense but when our o-line (especially the left side of Colledge and Clifton) can't hold blocks in both run game and pass game and get penalized for false starts and holds all game long it puts A-Rodg and Grant behind the 8 ball.

-Defense-No complaints about the secondary...they kept us in the game and are playing phonemically right now and they finally caught some balls. As for the rest of the defense, the linebackers and d-line are all struggling. Sure we have a lot of injuries, but we can't get off blocks, over pursue the ball a lot, have too many arm tackles, and can't get off the field toward the end of the game when we need a big stop. That's 2 weeks in a row when the opponents (and their respective prolific offenses) just drove right down the field in the later half of the 4th quarter.

Coaching-Slowly starting to feel like $ and Rubie. Two weeks in a row McCarthy screwed up the use of time outs. why challenge to see if Peterson is down on the 1. Not only do we lose a time out as no angles even remotely show that he was short, but if they do take away the TD our defense had no shot at stopping the run game when all the needed was a few feet not to mention we'd have enough time to drive down the field. I know I was pissed cuz I'd rather have 2 time outs to help get us down the field. He got bailed out by a nice return and a lucky bounce, but then decided to run the ball 2 times instead of attacking with some time outs and plenty of time to get closer. Yeah I had a lot of confidence that Crosby was going to make it but why make it harder than it needed to be. 2 running plays set up 3rd and 6...the Vikes bring everyone so that all 4 receivers had one on one coverage. The check down calls for Driver to just stop there and make the catch and then try for the 6 yards. Hit him with one of those slant patterns to at least get him moving which he probably would have taken to the house since the DB had given him a clear lane up the field.

In conclusion, a huge missed opportunity...again! Now it sets up an absolute must win against the Bears next week who have the same crappy offense the Vikes have, but a defense that is going to frustrate the hell out of us again. Looking forward to it!

Also: fuck A.J. Hawk. Fuck him and his stupid fucking hair. I've seen 84-year-old men move around less stiffly than A.J. Fucking Hawk. Can that fucker even bend at the midsection? Seriously, is he physically capable of bending at the waist? He can't be used to cover a RB out of the backfield or a TE because they make one move and A.J. is in the dust.

Fucking dirty hippie.

Also also: fuck Chad Clifton. You, sir, are a giant fucking turd. Jared Allen's shoulder was so fucked up he WASN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO FUCKING PLAY, and he still pwned you.

Call it a season. Retire. Die. I don't care. Just go the fuck away and take Colledge with you.

The biggest issue on both sides of the ball is the line. Everything starts there. O-line in particular has been atrocious. It's pathetic when our O-line and RB can't even stop a simple 3 or 4 man rush. And when they're not giving up sacks, they're holding guys to prevent a sack or having false starts. All around the O-line is terrible this year. Grant doesn't have anywhere near the lanes had last year. And D-line/blitzing linebackers....aside from the occasional Kampman sack, how horrible is our pass rush. It's been a Packer issue for years. Our secondary is continuing to play pretty well.....safeties included (which is unusual) yet we still can't stop anyone.

Timeouts/Challenges-Agreed....McCarthy has had questionable decisions, but I'm not calling for his head.

I'm still loving that Justin Harrell selection! What a difference maker he has been.

And, thirdly: fuck Al Riveron. Hey, fucking ref, if you're going to be making up penalties like "illegal forward pass / unnatural throwing motion," you better fucking call it on the other team, too. Every fucking pass Gus Frerotte threw should have been flagged for unnatural throwing motion.

Oh, "but there wasn't a receiver in the proximity," says Retard Al. My mistake. I'm sorry. I didn't realize that Tory Humphrey wasn't an eligible receiver on that play. I missed the part where we called the old "TE ineligible" play. You fucking twat.

Let's call a spade a spade: the crowd was screaming for a safety, and, because you're a shitty ref, you decided to make up a penalty to give the people what they want. Enjoy your demotion, Al. With calls like that, you'll be down to Back Judge in no time.

$ what are you saying about Harrel? I don't think he's played all that bad recently...atleast we are seeing him on the field.

Yeah I agree that first safety call was horrible. If #4 made that throw it would have been incomplete. Its too bad those 2 points were so meaningful.

I forgot to mention the pass rush, which is pathetic.

Oh and so much for making adjustments...why not put a TE or running back on the left side to help Clifton block Jared Allen...then maybe our fragile QB won't be knocked on his ass on every pass. Fuck chad clifton you fuckity fucker. fuck your fat fucking ass, can't fucking block Jared Fucking Allen, get the fuck out of fucking Green fucking Bay (there, that was my best Rubie impersonation)

Good work, SB. I'm flattered.

Second: you're not allowed to call Aaron Rodgers 'fragile' any more. He's a gamer. Fucking Clifton is lucky that Rodgers didn't bitch slap him on the sideline after that performance.

And, yes, it was alarming that we didn't start chipping Allen with a RB. I mean, that's the most basic adjustment you can make, isn't it?

yesterday was very frustrating. luckily I took out my aggression on the leaves in the back yard. everytime wayne larave got excited over a bad Packers play I raked harder. got done just in time to see Collins pick 6 and the punt return followed by the Adrian Peterson show and wide right.

atleast Brandon Jacobs didn't fumble before scoring that TD last night (his second of the night) which was enough to push Swining Man Bunt past Unethical Dick Shooter...sorry VaJayJay.

PS-I agree that we can't call A-Rodg fragile anymore.

And what about the doucherag Adrian Peterson taking his helmet off all the time? When did that stop being a penalty? He did after his touchdown, he did while talking to the refs after he fumbled, he did it a lot. Flag that douchenozzle because he is breaking the rules.

F McCarthy. He is the only coach I have ever called for to be fired. I don't like him.

A-Rodg is not fragile now. He proved he has big balls. I like him.

Watching McCarthy coach against Childress was kind of like watching two chimps trying to play chess. There was a lot of noise and whole bunch of confusion, and, when all was said and done, everything was covered in feces.

Justin Harrell - not Justin Harrell as much as Ted Thompson

1. Harrell was a reach - hurt in college and hurt in the NFL so he hasn't played that much

2. Thompson still had such an erection over him after watching his injured/sucky ass not play more than 30 snaps in his first year that he decided to trade one of our better D-lineman to Cleveland so he can have more draft picks (I think Thompson has an obsession with the draft. Kind of like us doing fantasy basketball just for the online draft, Thompson gives away players or trades draft picks to accumulate more just because it's "fun").

3. What has become a strengh due to depth on our d-line, ie. Harrell coming off the bench,is a weakness. Can't stop anyone when we have to.

Well our defense just got a whole hell of a lot worse....Barnet OFY! Ouch! Bye Bye playoffs

Softball's Tony Gwynn said...

wait a minute our defense got worse because 56 is out for the year...he's sucked this year. maybe desmond bishop can step it up. he looked decent (aside from that first play with Chester Taylor). He had the hit on AP on that 4th down play. this should work out perfectly though...Packer season will be essentially over right around when MU plays Bucky and gets geared up for Tennessee and NC State before the Big East schedule starts.

What? You weren't pumped for saturday's game against Colorado State-Pueble Penitentiary or whatever it was?

I was excited for any college basketball at all. I have been in sports hell since baseball ended. With the Crew going into the playoffs I have watched maybe 4 Packers games all year. I follow the Pack but I'm not tied to them for some reason this year. Maybe because they were the soap opera that wouldn't die thanks to Douch Favre.
