Coaching Carousel

This just in! Dale Layer, assistant coach for MU, has reportedly accepted the head coaching job at Liberty. Wow! First Coach Cal to Kentucky and now this! UNBELIEVABLE!

Seriously though.....Liberty? The instability of college basketball these days is crazy. Gillespie fired, Coach Cal to UK, Pastner to stay and take over at Memphis, Tim Floyd to Arizona.......then back to USC, Sean Miller interviews at Arizona, declines, then changes his mind and accepts, and now Layer to Liberty. I can't really foresee this move having any rammifications on MU's program considering he was only here for one year. Although it makes me wonder who's coming in? The door is opening for Brian Wardle to slide back in, patiently wait, and take over the head coaching job in 4-6 years. Brian Wardle, clap clap clap clap clap, Brian Wardle! Awwwwwwww!

Ok something really weird here. I totally pulled Wardle's name out of my butt, but after reading the comments for the JS article 3 other people mentioned this as a chance for his return. I don't think it's going to happen as he has 0 ties with this coaching staff(as far as I know).

no fucking Wardle. We cannot make the NCAA tournament with him as part of the program.
This is a proven scientific fact. NO ONE DENIES THIS!!

2000-2001 - MU sets 56,791 picks for Wardle.
Result: 1 NIT appearance, zero NCAA appearances

2002-2003 - Wardle goes somewhere, maybe the CBA or NBDL.
Result: 2 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four

2004-2005 - Wardle returns as the Director of Basketball Operations
Result: Zero NCAA appearances, 1 NIT

2006-2009 - Wardle coaches at UW-GB
Result: 4 NCAA appearances, 2 win (ugh)

IF WE BRING HIM BACK, WE WON'T GO TO THE TOURNAMENT!!!! Additionally, his college girlfriend left him and became a lesbian. Again, NO ONE DENIES THIS!!!

In other college basketball relocation news: Word is that DeJuan Blair has declared for the draft but will not hire an agent. Also E's boy, Demarcus Cousins, will follow coach Cal and Worldwide Wes to UK, much to the surprise of no one.

Are we talking about Liberty, the college, or the New York Liberty of the WNBA?

I'm not sure which is worse.

Jerry Falwell's Liberty, not Rebecca Lobo's Liberty.

Kirk Cameron says, "Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?"

I've found the Way of the Master. I just hope I'm not too late.

"Hey, it's Kirk. Did you know that every day, 150,000 people die?"

No, Kirk, I didn't realize that. Thanks for the day brightener!

Sorry, had to delete D3's comment because he violated Rule One of the Quevedo Charter. Here's a redacted version:

"It's the end of days [Rubie]! End of days! Didn't you read Revelation? It's God's Word and it will happen!! Metaphors? You're saying that Revelation is a fable? A myth? Never! No meaning could ever be lost or garbled after 2,000 years and thousands of translations from the original, ancient Greek it was written in! Only 144,000 people will be saved! Will you be one of them????"
