nothing's wrong with Trevor...he's human. plus it didn't help that he's pitched 4 out of the last 5 days and MC Lung got the inning started off on the wrong foot.
you're right..should have resigned CoCo for a ton of money so their would be no money left over to make Prince and Bruan happy, no money left over to sign the best closer in the history of the game, no money left over to rent CC last year to make the playoffs with Salomon Torrest as our closer.
In reality, CoCo doesn't make that much when you consider that Jeff "5.00 ERA" Suppan makes about the same.
In other news, latest rumor mill on espn mentions the Brewers as contenders for Bedard or Brad Penny. Sounds like JJ's name is being tossed around with these deals. Also, according to Melvin, the Brewers have not been in discussions with Cleveland so my Cliff Lee and/or DeRosa hopes are not precipitating at this point. Shux!
Sure these rumors have been floating around for a month, but that was in the middle of May when even the Washington Nationals were still in contention. Now we are a little over a month a way from the trade deadline so those teams that think they are major contenders become buyers......therefore trade talks begin to heat up.
PS. Is that a picture of "The Dude" or is it Jesus drinking a large fountain drink of taco bell?
I am skepitcal about the Brewers' ability to get a starter at this point. They're just not out there. Peavy is hurt, Bedard is hurt, Washburn (not that I would want him) is hurt. Cliff Lee isn't going anywhere. That leaves Penny, and then a bunch of scrap heap guys like Doug Davis. The better Penny pitches (and he has lately), and the more apparent it becomes that he's the only alleged top end starter on the market, the higher his price is going to go. It just doesn't look promising.

No, I've never heard of a small sample size. What's that?

See, see, I told you we should have re-signed CoCo. We are totally and completely screwed. Insert tombstone picture post here.

Bedard's hurt again.
Latest rumor mill on ESPN? Ha, come now, Bedard and Penny rumors have been floating around the last month plus. Don't believe it.

Haha, it's the Dude drinking half and half straight from the carton. Jesus is more of Black Russian fan.
Penny has yet to go seven innings in a start this year. We've already got four starters struggling to go six innings a game, thanks.
Seriously -- if we traded for another five-inning-per-start guy, I think DeFelice and Stetter might burn the stadium down.
