Damn....

If only the Brewers would've had Suppan and Bush for the past month and a half. They would have made all the difference. You look at the sparkling outings they went out and threw in this series, and you can't help but wonder "What if...". I mean, it would have been such a boost to the staff to have two guys in the rotation that could go out every time it was their turn and pitch almost 5 full innings and hold the opposition to 5 runs or less. That's exactly the thing the Brewers have been missing this summer. That's the kind of stuff that successful rotations are built around. I guess there's nothing left to do this year but let those guys go out there, and keep showing us what we missed out on. I can't help but think that we'll look back at this season and ponder just what might've happened if Suppan and Bush wouldn't have gotten hurt. I just hope that they both can stay healthy, and we can look forward to a long, long season with Bush and Suppan anchoring our rotation in 2010.

Seeing you reduced to this makes me a sad panda.

How did Rubie hijack your account and post this negativity? I don't even know you anymore (quiet sobbing).

You watch this team sleepwalk through the easiest part of its schedule and you say: "It can't get any worse than this."

Then you watch this team drop three straight to a triple-A caliber Pirates club in Pittsburgh and you say: "Well, it really can't get any worse than this."

And then you wake up one terrible morning -- probably the morning after this club gets swept at home by a Reds team that's AA quality -- and you realize: "There is no rock bottom for this group."

I think it's time to dig into our last option...the California Penal League...

Speaking of "Buffet Idol", I talked to Mustache last night and he finally noticed that he'd been voted off the blog. I told him that despite his long, prestigous list of contributions, with the economy being what it is we just had to make some cuts. I explained that he could still leave comments and stuff, but he just wasn't a contributor and couldn't write any new posts. His response was (paraphrasing), I didn't know you could get kicked out. What is this some kind of exclusive gay little club, where only certain people can be "contributors"? Fuck you guys. You guys are dorks.

Well, at least he finally gets it.
