It's official! If there's a "correct" religion out there it isn't Catholicism because every year this "God" of ours decides to somehow fuck up our basketball program. Being it's only mid-September, I wouldn't be at all surprised if another guy goes down. What a joke!

With the way the past couple weeks have gone, I wouldn't be surprised if an extremely localized tornado obliterated The Al today (and, of course, didn't damage any other buildings on campus).

The Crew's season isn't even over yet (well it is "over"), the Pack has only played one game and I'm already sick to my stomach over Marquette Basketball. When I saw this news on my Twitter (stop laughing... Following Shaq is hilarious) I wanted to cry. I know I'm the emo kid and all, but dammit, this is just crushing.

4-14 in conference? It can't be coincidence that we are sustaining all of these injuries during off-season conditioning. Just the thought of rupturing my Achilles makes me sick to my stomach.

If I remember correctly TR reported 4-6 months recovery time from the surgery....how much more time will be required to get Junior back into normal basketball condition? Will he be back to 100% by next fall?

In an attempt to squeeze the slightest bit of optimism out of this, theoretically (in my opinion), it was going to be a rebuilding year with only slim hopes of making the tournament. Honestly, if I had to bet the farm on whether or not this team would be in the field of 64 I would have said No they will not be. That being said, this loss due to injury is nowhere near as bad as say losing Dom at the end of last year or Jerel going into the tourney 2 years before that. Junior will be allowed an injury red-shirt and will at least still have 4 years of eligibility left going into next year (unlike Crean f'ing up Mbakwe's year of eligibility in the '07-'08 season)

Also, with Cadougan out, MU will appear to have plenty of pt available at the PG spot which will look attractive to potential recruits. We were in need of depth at the PG position going into next season, but with Junior all but guaranteed a majority of the minutes it was going to be difficult to get a committment from a solid prospect. The latest news changes all of that imo. And for all of those Vander Blue hopefuls out there, this should only increase his interest (if there truly is any).
