Is one of these players Rich Harden?

Or perhaps Jeff Suppan? Player B looks very Suppan-esque.

Wait! No, it's 2002 Ruben Quevdo and 2009 Jeff Suppan. Right?

oh boy just think...next year at this time we'll be done with ol' Soup and we'll have to designate a single day here at Q@B to his retirement. maybe a roast would be in order.

Ding ding ding! Master Reid wins the Bavarian cream. With his outing last night, Soup finished a season remarkably similar to Rubie's only full major league season. Congratulations, Jeff!

But Soup's an innings eater...

That's pretty funny. While watching Suppan last night, and chuckling that a "good" Suppan inning consists of a screaming missile to right that just happens to be right at the outfielder and then a bullet one hopper to 2nd that gets turned into a double play, I thought, "Someone should compare Ruben's '02 campaign with this '09 Suppan disaster." Right on cue Rubie, as always.

if I only knew what FIP & WAR were...

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, so I'm not going to put up an explanation for those stats, 'cuz I don't want to seem condescending.

I don't know what they mean and would kinda like to know, but I'm also making fun of your elitist sabermetric nerdiness.

I only wish I was groomed into a pitcher when I was growing up. In what other profession can a less than mediocre performer earn 10+ million per year? Ridonkulous!

Do you think Suppan is embarassed when he gets his paychecks?
