Thank God!

Looks like Melvin is not interested in making at least one colossal blunder this offseason. From espn.com:

The Milwaukee Brewers are in the market for starting pitching this winter but GM Doug Melvin is telling rival GMs that he will not listen to offers for first baseman Prince Fielder.
Fielder is scheduled for free agency following the 2011 season and is set to make $10.5 million next season.
There were rumors this past season that the San Francisco Giants and Melvin had preliminary talks about a Matt Cain-for-Fielder swap, but apparently that idea is no longer a possibility.

I've checked and firedougmelvin.com is all ready taken but if you want to pitch in $5 for firebrewersdougmelvin.com I'm all for it. what the hell is he thinking. did he not see last year. We need starting pitching and moving prince is the only way we'll get that done. You can't just go out and find cy young caliber arms anymore but its much easier to find first baseman who hit around 300 that can drive in 150 rbis and hit 30 homers. hell those are a dime a dozen. trade prince now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some guys who post on the Brew Crew Ball site own FireDougMelvin. They're pretty good.

Ummmmmmm.... Is SBTG serious? I know we need pitching and I love Cain, but Prince affects the game damn near every day. We control him for two years. Don't give that up yet.

I think all the late nights with Baby SBTG are finally taking their toll. Poor SBTG; he had a good run before the Infant-Induced Psychosis set in ...
